Ravi Iyengar, Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, was named one of the Outstanding Leaders in Asia, and Sitel Philippines was among the Top Workplaces in Asia for 2022. The honor is presented to exceptional leaders who have demonstrated sound leadership and successfully applied it to spearhead growth and prominence for the company.

A Passion-Driven Leadership that Enables People

As the COO for Sitel Group® in Asia Pacific (APAC), Ravi is at the helm of supporting business’ growth, driving high-performing, people-centric culture in the region.

In the Philippines alone, Ravi was faced with tough challenges, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic and a myriad of changes in the business, including the integration of SYKES and Sitel Group – which brought our headcount from 20,000 to 40,000. Nonetheless, Ravi’s careful management and passion for people shined through.  He navigated the ‘new normal’ while diligently growing the company’s presence in the country.

Ravi joined Sitel Group in 2011 as Senior Vice President for India’s operations, after which he took on a bigger role as Chief Operating Officer for India in 2013.Ravi became the Chief Operating Officer for APAC in May 2019.

“Handling countries across APAC with thousands of people and experiencing all these changes in a span of a few years was not an easy feat but having amazingly talented people has made all these changes and milestones possible. The integration has gone very smoothly and we have a well-oiled larger organization which is high performing and ready for a stronger growth,” Ravi shared during his panel interview for the ACES.

Sitel® Palawan associates #WorkTogether to preserve and protect the environment. Associates participated in a coastal clean-up activity in the island of Palawan last April 2022.

As one of the Top Workplaces in Asia for this year, Pam Donato, Sitel Philippines VP for HR, shares the company’s initiatives to continually provide a workplace that nurtures the growth and engagement of its employees. “We are thrilled to receive this recognition as this helps validate the efforts made by our associates who are silently making the most impact in our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda”. She also adds that apart from the existing Employee Resource Groups (ERG) WELead (for women agenda) and BEProud (for LGBTQIA+ agenda), Sitel Philippines is also looking into establishing ERGs for associates with disabilities and help extend the available roles at Sitel Philippines to Filipinos with disabilities. An enhanced online training program on DEI for all employees and women mentoring program are also planned for roll-out soon.

Sitel® Philippines strongly believes in empowering people at all levels. On August 5, 2022, Sitel Philippines led the forum Women on Top: Women Leaders as Advocates of Change.
