Sitel Academy together with the Tarlac State University during the virtual MOU signing

MANILA – Feb 2021 Sitel signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tarlac State University (TSU) to provide continued assistance in shaping the university’s computer studies curriculum and provide opportunities for world-class communications and customer experience training to TSU students.

The partnership between Sitel and TSU is a continuation of the mutually beneficial collaboration between the two institutions. “We’ve really enjoyed working closely with TSU,” said Fatima Tigas, Director, Strategic People Program. “Through the years that we have been partners, we have been able to help bolster their computer studies programs and provide insight into important real-world skills students need in the job industry. This year is even more poignant as digital solutions and technologies play an even bigger role in the current and undoubtedly future job market.”

The Sitel Academy Program has continued making impactful partnerships with learning institutions in Metro Manila and the provinces where Sitel operates. Guided by the company’s employee promise of “Learn, Lead & Grow with the Sitel Barkada”, Sitel Academy strives to bring Sitel’s brand of world-class training to as many students in the country as possible. Since 2020 the company has expanded to online training and virtual internship opportunities in light of the global pandemic.

In 2021, Sitel will continue to work with TSU to expand the curriculum of their Computer Studies Programs. The company will also provide TSU students with a wide variety of online training classes and modules that are carefully designed to help develop key competencies in students to meet the demands of the evolving and expanding BPO and customer experience industry.

Danganan, OIC-Dean – College of Computer Studies, TSU. “Together we are able to provide our students with a wide range of technical and communication training programs coupled with practical experiences that will give them the skills and the edge they need in a highly competitive and changing job market.”

The MOU signing was a virtual event that brought together representatives from TSU, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Erwin T. Lacanlale, Dean Danganan, Associate Dean Professor Jermone Legaspi, and the College of Computer Studies team, Dr. Theda Flare G. Quilala, Dr. Rogel L. Quilala, Professor Ronnie B. Mercado. Sitel was represented by Tigas, Learning Specialist and University and Community Partnership Liaison Marie Grace N. Lulu, and Learning Specialist Neil D. Caronan.
