MANILA – April 26, 2021, Cristina Pierson, Leadership Development Manager, MAX SME, and WeLead Member, has been appointed the new People Management of the Philippines (PMAP) Palawan Chapter President. In her new role, Pierson looks forward to uplifting and empowering the workforce in Palawan by actively providing more programs for education and training, enabling workforce and leadership mentoring, sharing best people practices, and expanding opportunities for local talents.
“I am honored to have the trust of the PMAP Palawan Chapter in this exciting new role,” said Pierson. “I feel very fortunate to have a great team and active members and I look forward to making a positive impact on the business community and the workforce on our island. In my role in Sitel, I handle the development and success of our leaders and have always felt great pride seeing them learning, growing, and succeeding. In my new role with PMAP, I look forward to doing the same for the professionals in the Palawan community.”
Pierson, who has been with Sitel Philippines for ten years, has set some bold goals for her term as the PMAP Palawan Chapter head. She plans to continue and enhance programs that are currently working while building on the successes of her predecessors with new initiatives. She wants to help raise the bar on the professionalism and competencies of Palawan talents.
Pierson seeks to create more opportunities for Palawan professionals through upskilling and training partnered with forging stronger connections between businesses. Increasing Palawan PMAP membership is also an important goal for her to ensure their efforts have a greater impact on more people and their respective organizations. Ultimately, she is focused on creating a positive impact on the businesses and workforce on the island.
“I look forward to making a difference,” Pierson explained. “That’s how I see this job and how I am mapping out my way forward. I’m committed to big goals because I think they can be achieved. And I am excited to get more people from Sitel Princesa and all the local businesses involved. I feel that the local PMAP chapters, especially outside Metro Manila, have so much to gain from working closely with institutions like PMAP. Through this affiliation, we have greater access to business and government updates, new methodologies, paradigms, and resources. Being part of the PMAP family ensures that we are always informed and relevant.”
