Sitel® Tarlac is a true embodiment of our #WorkTogether values, contributing their time and effort for the benefit of the community where they operate. With the opening of face-to-face classes this school year, leaders and associates from Sitel Tarlac participated in the city-wide Brigada Eskuwela last August 4-5, distributing over 600 school supplies to the enrollees of different elementary and secondary schools in the region.
MAXkaisa – A Call to Unite for the Community
“MAXkaisa”, a term coined from Sitel Group® My Associate Experience (MAX) and Filipino word pagkakaisa, is the cluster’s umbrella program for their social responsibility efforts. Since piloting in 2018 in Barangays San Rafael, Maliwalo, and Aeta, Sitel Tarlac continues to engage its associates and heed the call for volunteerism.
24 associates from the leadership and operations team joined this year’s Brigada Eskuwela for the benefit of the sudents of San Miguel Central Elementary School, Jose V. Yap High School, Balingcanaway Elementary School, Maliwalo National High School, San Rafael Elementary School, and De Los Remedios Elementary School. Associates were encouraged to donate an amount that will supplement the site funding for this activity.
Sitel Tarlac’s commitment to its community, especially to education does not stop here. As a matter of fact, a number of similar activities is expected to be plotted in the coming months.
According to Rachel Ramos, Director Track Trainee and Engagament Champion, they are looking into participating at different schools’ cultural and sports activities (in line with the current wellness program of Sitel Group, the SitelFit), along with a career week where they see a possible partnership for an internship program for senior high school students. “We will continue to connect with them, not just during Brigada Eskuwela, but during times when they need inspiration and exposure to the BPO industry, so we can partner with them in shaping the future of our young ones”, she added.
Plans Moving Forward
Sitel Tarlac has developed a year-long plan of social responsibility activities under MAXkaisa. In partnership with the local government of Tarlac City, the cluster has lined up vaccination drives for the safety and well-being of the associates and their families, food distribution to front liners and children, an outreach program to halfway homes, Dugong Bayani, a quarterly blood donation with Philippine Red Cross, and Sitel® Footprints, supporting the environment, among others.
