Dear Sitel Barkada,

In my years of working in the business process outsourcing industry, one of the things I’ve learned is that recruitment is very much like a date. In both situations, first impressions last, so you have to put your best foot forward. Also, both have gone digital these days.

That is exactly how we want recruitment at Sitel to feel like, for both of us employer and applicants: like looking for a life partner. Our new Candidate Engagement Platform (CEP), launched on June 17, (philippines.sitel.com/sitel-barkada-wi) helps us achieve that. Through conversational language, slick design, and brilliant algorithm, the CEP accomplishes two main things: introduce Sitel and its famed Barkada culture to the applicant, and find out if Sitel and the applicant are a match.

I take particular pride in CEP’s online assessments powered by the online mass hiring tool, Harver. These assessments allow Sitel’s recruiters and hiring managers to know which position the applicant fits in. Assessments include those for language skills, personality, typing skills, situational judgment, as well as client-specific ones like chat and email skills.

For Sitel’s Talent Acquisition team, CEP gives them an edge. Because Harver automates most repetitive recruitment tasks, it frees more time for recruiters and hiring managers so they can attend to others that require their creativity. Also, Harver’s process is designed to pick the candidate most likely to accept an offer from Sitel and stay with us for a long time, enabling us to keep our associate performance high and attrition rate low.

For applicants, CEP provides a recruitment experience like no other. With the CEP, they can apply to Sitel and get a job offer without leaving their homes, which is ideal in the midst of the pandemic.
Recruitment isn’t the only thing we’re rethinking to cope with the pandemic. We are also opening Sitel MAXhubs across Luzon to bring the workplace closer to associates. These are smaller Sitel facilities that functions as recruitment hub, training and production center and are located near associates’ homes. We’ve opened Sitel MAXhubs in Puerto Princesa, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; Angeles City, Pampanga; San Fernando City, La Union; and in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
